CLIENT RELATIONS MANAGER
Wanted: Organized, Detail-Oriented, Logistics Wiz to coordinate music lessons and serve as a liaison between our growing client base and teaching team. This is a full time (mostly remote) position.
Hi! I’m Rachel Lipson, the founder and CEO of Blue Balloon Songwriting (founded in 2010). My company offers high-end, highly-creative, in-home instrument lessons through songwriting to kids and adults in NYC, The Hamptons and Nashville using methods I created. I help the most discerning parents find the most exceptional, engaging and exciting musical experience for their children. My unparalleled team of teaching artists make learning music through songwriting a joyful experience that has often been characterized as a defining experience of their children's education. A team of about 50+ teachers teach 400+ lessons per week.
The position will be FULL TIME off-site, remote work with weekly in-person meetings and occasional events in the NYC area. Our lessons are 7 days a week so you may also need to be available on weekends at times. You will be joining a client relations team so the ability to delegate and communicate clearly and efficiently with others will be a big part of your job.
The Responsibilities Include:
Correspond with families and teachers to help schedule lessons, makeups and subs
Act as point of contact for all questions and escalate issues as appropriate
Ensure both the company and clients adhere to contract terms
Create and implement plans to address clients’ and teachers’ needs
Build and maintain long term relationships with clients and teachers
Who We're Looking For:
You should be so organized that your friends think you are ridiculous. You should be so detail oriented that you border on perfectionism, but are also smart and aware enough to also get things done quickly and efficiently all while being friendly, fun, upbeat and positive. You should be someone who actually LIKES logistics and schedules and the tetris puzzle of fitting everything in! Your writing style is friendly, upbeat and flawless and you feel comfortable forging new relationships over text and email.
An interest in children, families, music and creative, unique woman-owned businesses.
Proven experience as a Client Relations or Relationship Manager (an interest in education and/or music is a plus!)
A customer-oriented attitude
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Experience tracking relevant KPIs (e.g. customer satisfaction)
Excellent time management skills
A self-starter who takes initiative
A keen attention to detail
A friendly, positive, personable, eloquent writing style
Willingness to be responsive during off hours (email/text)
